Fenestration Replacement Presents Its Own Set of Challenges

Fenestration, which refers to the design, construction, or presence of openings in a building can present a number of challenges when installing new windows and doors.

Our friend and fellow fenestration expert, Jim Snyder, recently contributed an article to Window & Door Magazine. His thoughts echo our sentiments on some of the challenges we face when working on a replacement installation.

Challenges can include issues with the quality of the finished project based on the individual installer’s skill set, as well as the existing condition of the structure, the limitations that fenestration can result in and a lack of industry instructions for replacement situations. It’s an excellent piece, with valuable information.
